Information in a quotation request
The form asks for your name, the property postcode, the type of work, a description and your preferred reply method. Your town or city and photographs are optional. An email address is required for an email reply, or a telephone number for a telephone reply.
Please include only information and photographs relevant to the work. We do not use the quotation form to sign you up for marketing.
Why we use your information
We use enquiry details to discuss your requirements, prepare a quotation and arrange agreed work. Where you ask us to quote for work for you, this is to take steps at your request before entering a contract, and to fulfil that contract if you proceed. We rely on our legitimate interests in responding to other business enquiries and feedback, administering our business and keeping the website secure. We may also retain records where required by law.
You can choose whether to contact us and whether to include photographs. Without enough information about the proposed work and a way to reply, we may be unable to provide a quotation.
WhatsApp, calls and email
The WhatsApp links open a prepared conversation. You decide whether to send the message and which photographs to attach. WhatsApp processes information through its own service. Telephone and email links open the relevant app on your device.
Private requests and photographs
Website requests are held in an administrator-only WordPress inbox. Uploaded photographs are kept outside the public website files and can be downloaded only by an authorised site administrator. They are not added to the public project gallery.
The business receives an email notification containing the enquiry details and a sign-in link to the inbox. Photographs are not attached to that email. Hostinger supplies our website hosting, backups and email service. Authorised website administrators can access information when needed to maintain the website or handle requests.
Keeping and deleting information
Website enquiry records and uploaded photographs become due for deletion 30 days after submission. Deletion runs through WordPress scheduled tasks, so its timing depends on those tasks running. An administrator can delete a request earlier. The website's email-delivery logs are set to expire after 14 days.
Email correspondence and agreed project records are separate from the website inbox. How long these are needed depends on whether an enquiry leads to work, whether there are outstanding questions or disputes, and applicable record-keeping requirements. Hostinger backups rotate under the hosting service's backup schedule; deleting a live record does not immediately remove it from every existing backup.
Form security
The form uses short-lived verification tokens and a temporary, keyed hash of the connection’s IP address to limit repeated submissions. This form feature does not store the raw IP address in the enquiry record. Server and security-plugin logs are separate from the quotation feature and may include IP addresses, request details and security events.
Service providers and overseas processing
Some information may be processed outside the UK by our service providers. Hostinger describes its international transfer safeguards, including the UK transfer addendum where applicable, in its Data Processing Addendum. Contact us for more information about the safeguards relevant to your information. The external services described below have their own privacy notices.
Your rights and questions
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access or correct your information, have it erased, restrict its use or receive a portable copy. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it. These rights have exceptions, including where records are needed to meet legal obligations.
Contact us using the details above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
Coverage maps
When a coverage map comes into view, your browser requests map images from OpenStreetMap. These requests share connection information, including your IP address, browser details and the referring website, with the OpenStreetMap Foundation. See its Privacy Policy (opens a new tab). The maps do not request your device location. You can also use the town and city links alongside the map.
Google reviews
Our review links take you to Google, where you can read customer feedback or submit a public review using your Google account. Google processes your account and review information under its Privacy Policy (opens a new tab). This website does not collect your Google password or submit reviews on your behalf. You can manage your Google review through your Google account.
You can also send feedback directly to L&R by email. We use that information to respond to you; we do not automatically publish it as a review.
